The biopharmaceutical industry is evolving rapidly, driven by cutting-edge innovations, regulatory advancements, and an increasing demand for skilled professionals. This Faculty Development Program (FDP) is designed to equip educators with the latest trends, insights, and technologies shaping the biopharma sector.

Through expert-led sessions, hands-on training, and industry case studies, participants will gain a deep understanding of upstream and downstream bioprocessing, regulatory landscapes and industry best practices.

Separation techniques employing filtration and chromatography are an important step towards isolation and purification of products of interest from cellular material. Downstream processing techniques impact the economics of the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, enzymes, nutraceuticals, etc. Thus, mastering the science of bioseparations is critical to ensuring the commercial success of products. Considering this, our entry-level course is designed to introduce trainees to the principles of bioseparation techniques employed in the industry, their application, and recent technological advances. The course is structured with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience in our Bio-Pilot Lab, where students will be exposed to real-world problems in bioseparation, process analytics and economics.
